Pillar · Disaster Recovery

Find your DR gaps before an incident does.

A continuously-scored view of backup posture, coverage, and recovery readiness. We tell you what isn't protected, what would fail to restore, and what to do about it.

Sound familiar?

Backups exist but nobody is sure they'd actually restore.

Some resources are protected, some aren't, and the inventory is in someone's head.

DR is a quarterly fire drill, not a continuous practice.

"Are we more or less resilient than last month?" is a shrug.

What you see

One score. Updated daily. The gaps surfaced.

Disaster Recovery score (the live product calls it Site Reliability), backup coverage, job success rate, and total findings up top. Score and findings trends underneath. Coverage broken out by service and account.

Emnode Disaster Recovery view showing DR score, backup coverage, job success and findings trend
  1. 1

The score, with delta vs last week. The single number senior stakeholders will want to see.

  2. 2

Coverage gauge — what is protected and what isn't. The honest answer to "are we covered?".

  3. 3

Findings trend chart — the direction of travel matters more than the absolute number.

  4. 4

Top critical findings — immediate work, ranked by impact.

What we look at

The signals that decide whether you'd actually recover.

Backups existing isn't the same as backups working. We pull from the systems that already track this — and surface the gaps that nobody owns.

Backup plans and jobs

AWS Backup plans, scheduled jobs, and job success rates over the trailing 30 days. The reality, not the intent.

Resources in scope

Resources that should be protected but aren't — picked up from inventory, cross-referenced against your plans.

Recovery point and retention

Recovery Point Objective and retention period checked against the targets you define for each environment.

Cross-region and cross-account

Coverage gaps where data lives in one region or account with no copy elsewhere. Region failure, blast radius.

Why a posture, not a project

DR drifts. The score is the only honest answer.

New resources, new accounts, new services. Backups configured a year ago for a stack that has since been refactored. The gap between intended DR and actual DR widens every quarter unless something measures it.

A score that updates daily is the only honest answer to "are we covered." A snapshot from the last audit isn't.

Findings flow into the Action Hub like everything else — claimed, owned, verified. The work happens in your team, the score reflects it the next day.

Your cloud operations won't sort themselves out.

But they don't need a specialist either. Connect Emnode, get clarity across all four pillars, and start closing the gap.
