1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage, which store data in your browser. This policy covers all of these.

2. Who we are

We are Emnode Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16998774). Our registered office is Unit 19-20 Bourne Court, Southend Road, Woodford Green, IG8 8HD.

3. What we use

We use Google Tag Manager to load the technologies listed below. It is only loaded once you have given consent, and it does not itself collect information about your visit.

Strictly necessary (no consent required)

These are essential for the website to function. We use one cookie and browser localStorage to remember:

These do not track you and are not shared with any third party.

Analytics (consent required)

These help us understand how visitors use our website — for example which pages are visited, how long people stay, approximate location at city level, and general patterns such as where people click and how far they scroll. This helps us improve the site and fix the parts people find confusing. The providers below set their own cookies, for example to distinguish visitors, maintain session state and recognise a returning visitor. These cookies are only set after you give your consent via our cookie banner.

We currently use, for this purpose:

• Google Analytics (GA4), provided by Google. The data is anonymised (IP anonymisation is enabled). For more detail, see how Google uses cookies and the Google Privacy Policy.
• Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft, for heatmaps and aggregated session replays. Microsoft may combine this information with data it holds through its other services. For more detail, see the Microsoft Clarity cookie information and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Advertising measurement (consent required)

These help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising — for example, to understand which adverts lead people to visit or sign up. The providers below set their own cookies for advertising and conversion measurement. These cookies are only set after you give your consent via our cookie banner.

We currently use, for this purpose:

• Google Ads, provided by Google. For more detail, see how Google uses cookies and the Google Privacy Policy.

Once you accept, we also store the following ourselves, in your browser's sessionStorage:

4. Withdrawing consent and managing cookies

You can change your decision at any time, as easily as you made it: use the cookie settings control (also in the footer of every page) to reopen the consent banner, and choose Reject.

Rejecting after you previously accepted:

• tells Google Analytics, Google Ads and Microsoft Clarity to stop, so nothing further is collected in your browser;
• deletes the advertising and analytics cookies that were set on our site; and
• removes the stored ad-attribution entry described above.

If you reject while on one of our signup pages (api.emnode.com), we also delete the record of how you arrived — the advertising click and campaign details described above — from our systems, and mark your details so they are left out of our advertising measurement.

If you have signed up before and would like the same done for your account, contact us with the email address you signed up with. Your rejection in the banner takes effect in your browser straight away either way.

You can additionally control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you view, delete and block cookies and localStorage data. Blocking strictly necessary storage may affect the functionality of the website (for example, your theme preference will not be remembered).

Information collected before you withdraw

Withdrawing consent stops any further collection, and the steps above cover the records we hold ourselves. Information that Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity collected while your consent was in place remains with those providers until it expires under their retention limits. It is pseudonymous: it is held against a random identifier, and we do not send either provider your name or contact details.

• Google Analytics deletes individual-level data automatically no later than 14 months after it was collected. Only aggregated statistics, which do not identify anyone, are kept beyond that.
• Microsoft Clarity retains session recordings for 30 days from recording, with a small sample kept for up to 9 months. On our signup pages, form fields containing personal details are masked before any recording is made. Microsoft acts as an independent data controller for Clarity data, so you can also exercise your privacy rights directly with Microsoft — see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

5. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when we add or remove cookies. The "last updated" date at the top will change accordingly.
